As you know GMI started a new ministry, HAFAM (Happy Family Mission) in 2007 to adopt the suffering families who are struggling for their daily meal without any source of income. We find out such families through thorough check up, scrutiny and analysis. These families are from all walks of life irrespective of caste, religion and politics. Now this work has entered its 4^th phase by adopting the 501^st family on 12^thNovember 2011.

We had a grand inaugural function of the 4^th phase in which Mr. G.Karthikeyan(Kerala Assembley Speaker) inaugurated the meeting, Mr.N.Sakthan(Kerala Assembly Deputy Speaker) released the souvenir which contains the details of the suffering families and the sponsors, Rt.Rev.A.Dharmaraj Rasalam(Bishop, SKD, C.S.I) delivered the main message and many other dignitaries felicitated the programme. The 501^stsuffering family was adopted by Mr.Ashok Lal( A.G.M, Kerala State Industrial Corporation) who is also my class mate( we studied together in C.E.T). The 501^st family was handed over to Ashok by the District Panchayat Member, Mrs.Ansajitha Ressul.

The work of GMI in the field of adoption of suffering families was highly appreciated by all the participants. But, as you know, we are doing all these efforts neither to get men’s approval or appraisal, rather only in the obedience of our Master (Guru). We are compelled to do it. As Paul says, This gives us no ground for boasting, for an obligation is laid upon us, and woe to us if we don’t obey Him in this regard( 1Cor.9:16). We are sure that in this way, the tiny units of the Kingdom of God are being established among us. We can’t claim that this is an achievement but can humbly think that only an attempt. We need your valuable prayer and encouragement. The ministry of HAFAM is the ‘Gospel in Action’, which is the need of the hour.

If anybody (your friends/relatives - irrespective of faith or religion) is interested in adopting a suffering family by giving their basic needs for food, kindly ask them to contact us. I can give them a family (or families) who really needs and deserves help to live.
